What Happened

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a child at I-40 near Sanders, AZ on August 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9 a.m. According to investigators, a school bus occupied by 19 students and staff members of Holbrook school was struck by a semi-truck under unclear circumstances. The bus was pushed into a van and six people aboard the bus were injured.One person, an unidentified child, suffered fatal injuries. Police had no additional details to share at this time.
