What Happened

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed one person at Grand Canyon West Skywalk in Grand Canyon West, AZ on August 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10 a.m. According to investigators, a private tour bus was involved in a collision with a park visitor vehicle. The cause of the collision was not yet known, however, authorities say the bus overturned in the collision. One person involved was killed while eight others involved were hospitalized with various injuries. Police add there were other injured who had less serious injuries but did not provide the amount of people injures. Additional details are not available at this time.
