What Happened

Arkansas State Police are investigating an accident that killed a person and injured four others on May 26th, 2019 in Hwy 67 in Sherwood, AR. Officials say the incident happened around 7:23 a.m. A vehicle driven by 57-year-old Kahuna Melvin Matthias reportedly lost control and collided with a vehicle that was parked on the shoulder due to a flat tire. Matthias was killed. His two passengers, 56-year-old Jimel Teal and 27-year-old Kevin Lee Jr were both hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the other vehicle. 22-year-old Aja Harris and a child passenger were also hospitalized.
