What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a child at Hwy 101 in Valley Village, CA on January 16th, 2023. Police say it happened around 1:25 p.m. According to investigators, a Land Rove was traveling northbound on Hwy 101 as a van towing a trailer was merging onto the highway. Officials say the two vehicles collided, causing the SUV to overturn multiple times into a nearby concrete wall. A 1-month-old girl in the Land Rover suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver, a 27-year-old male and 26-year-old female passenger, were hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the truck is said to not have been injured.
