What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed three people at Hwy 33 in Fresno County, CA on May 18th, 2023. Police say the incident happened as a tractor-trailer was headed northbound on Hwy 33. At the same time, a Toyota Corolla was headed westbound at Manning. Police allege the Toyota failed to yield to the truck before traveling into its path, the two colliding as a result. Three occupants of the Toyota were killed. The victims were identified as 53-year-old Juan Cortez, 21-year-old Kevin Cruz Montesinos and 77-year-old Armancio Hidalgo. Additional details have not been made available.
