What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Hwy 101 at San Martin Ave in San Martin, CA on August 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:31 p.m. According to investigators, the victim, a 36-year-old Riverside truck operator,  was in a shoulder securing cargo to his truck when a different truck entered into the shoulder, striking the man. The man, who was not publicly identified, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he does from. The other driver was not injured, according to police. Additional information was not available.
