What Happened

Area authorities have information on a collision that killed a man at Oasis Ave and Two Mile Rd in Twentynine Palms, CA on November 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5 p.m. According to investigators, 42-year-old Michael Micheletti was securing a tractor-trailer to a tow truck when the tractor portion detached from the lift of the tow truck under unclear circumstances. After sliding off, it went backwards and trapped Micheletti underneath, rolling around 50 feet before he he was removed from the truck. He was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Additional details were not provided.
