What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash act killed a person at Hwy 58 in Bakersfield, CA on March 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4 p.m. Investigators say a semi-truck allegedly did not stop for traffic and collided with a GMC Sierra. The collision caused the vehicle to collided with a Toyota Tacoma, which caused that vehicle to overturned. The truck also struck a second semi-truck before it was struck in the rear. The drivers of the first truck and the GMC Sierra were taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The Sierra suffered fatal injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
