What Happened

Colorado Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man and injured another on Hwy 145 near Dolores, CO on June 11th, 2019. Officials say the incident happened around 6:19 p.m. A vehicle driven by 63-year-old Jerold Lunsford was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided head-on with a semi-truck driven by 47-year-old Adrian Valdez. Lunsford was killed in the crash. Valdez was hospitalized with minor injuries.
