What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials released the names of the people killed in a semi-truck accident on SR 31 in Charlotte County, FL on February 7th, 2019. 77-year-old James Henry Garnett and 78-year-old Daisy Loveless Garnett died in the crash. Police say the accident occurred when their vehicle reportedly failed to yield at a traffic light and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, 54-year-old Pedro Dominguez, was not injured.
