What Happened

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Maxwell House Coffee on East Bay St in Jacksonville, FL on November 29th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:35 a.m in the parking lot of Maxwell House Coffee. According to investigators, a semi-truck was reversing to pick up a trailer as another individual was helping to guide the truck while on-foot outside the vehicle. As it reversed, the unnamed male contractor outside the truck, was struck by the truck and pinned between the truck and trailer. The man suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Additional information was not immediately available.
