What Happened

Florida Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed three people at County Rd 675 in Parrish, FL on May 15th, 2023. Police say the incident happened at the intersection with Jim Davis Road. Police allege a dump truck headed westbound on County Rd 675 before drifting into a northbound shoulder while approaching a curve in the roadway. Investigators believe the truck attempted to correct back into the roadway, crossing into path of an eastbound SUV. The vehicles collided, leaving the three occupants of the SUV with fatal injuries. They were identified as Randy Scott, Jill Scott and Judy Cook. The dump truck operator was taken to an area hospital with injuries believed to be serious in nature.
