What Happened

Largo Police have information on a single-vehicle crash that injured two people at 8th Ave SE and Donegan Rd in Largo, FL on February 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:15 p.m. According to investigators, box truck was headed southeast approaching a curve in the roadway. The vehicle is said to have lost control, possibly due to the driver suffering a medical emergency, and crashed into a guardrail. The truck then traveled through a fence and into a group trees, leaving the driver and an additional occupant with serious injuries. Both were hospitalized for treatment. Officers say no other vehicles were involved and had no additional information to share.
