Area authorities released the name of the driver killed in a semi-truck accident on US 27 in Cedartown, GA on January 18th, 2019. 57-year-old Billy Joe Carnes was killed when his vehicle reportedly missed a stop sign and collided with a semi-truck in oncoming traffic. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, 48-year-old Jack Franklin Leggett, was not injured.
