What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-20 in Warren County, GA on December 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:28 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer was suffering from mechanical issues and parked in an emergency lane. A Dodge Charger is said to have veered from the road for unknown reasons before colliding with the tractor-trailer. The impact caused the Dodge to catch fire, trapping the driver and a child. The driver. identified as 24-year-old Ryant Lorenzo Vitron Furtick, suffered fatal injuries. The child in the vehicle, a 3-year-old girl, also died. Authorities had no additional information to share.
