What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-57 in Mattoon, IL on August 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:22 p.m. and involved two commercial trucks colliding under unclear circumstances. One driver was hospitalized with injuries they later died from.
