What Happened

Illinois State Police released the name of the driver killed in a semi-truck accident on the Stevenson Expressway in Archer Heights, IL on February 4th, 2019. 33-year-old Jefferey S. Bedenfield was seriously injured when his vehicle lost control and rear-ended a IDOT utility vehicle. He became pinned in the vehicle and had to be extracted. Once freed, he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he later died from his injuries. No one else was injured in the accident.
