What Happened

State Police are currently investigating a crash that killed a woman  at I-88 in Kane County, IL on January 18th, 2023. Investigators say the 4 a.m. crash involved a passenger vehicle tractor-trailer. They say the passenger vehicle collided with the rear of the truck under unclear circumstances. The 27-year-old woman operating the car was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. Additional information was not immediately available.
