What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at State Rd 18 in White County, IN on November 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:15 p.m. According to investigators, a passenger vehicle operated by 39-year-old Rikki Scripter was eastbound on State Rd 18. Traveling southbound don 300 East was semi-truck operated by 47-year-old Stephen Manley. Reports indicate the semi-truck pulled into the path of the passenger car, the two vehicles colliding as a result. Officials say Scripter suffered fatal injuries at the scene while her passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not available.
