What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at Lyon County, IA on May 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:15 a.m. They say a westbound tanker truck was allegedly attempting to go around a tractor ahead before colliding with an attached sprayer unit onto the tractor. This caused the tractor to lose control and overturn into a ditch, leaving its driver with fatal injuries. The driver was identified as 77-year-old Myron Krull. The other driver, 82-year-old Dennis Hayenga, is said to have been uninjured. Additional details were not provided.
