State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 63 near Grinnell, IA on March 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:56 p.m. According to investigators, an SUV headed southbound collided with a pickup towing a trailer at the intersection with Hwy 6. The collision caused the truck to veer into an eastbound lane and collided with a semi-truck. The vehicles were pushed from the road into a ditch where the SUV caught fire. The driver of the SUV died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The semi-truck driver is believed to have been uninjured.
