Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Birch Ave in Humboldt County, IA on November 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5 p.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck operated by 27-year-old Shane Edward Stanton was southbound on Birch Ave. Officials say a concrete mixer operated by 29-year-old Taylor Lee Chance was eastbound on 110th Street. Police allege the semi-truck failed to yield right of way before colliding with the concrete mixer. Officials say Chance suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Stanton was hospitalized for treatment of undisclosed injuries, reports say. Additional information was not immediately available.
