What Happened

Kansas Highway Patrol officials responded to the scene of an accident involving a semi-truck and a box truck on I-35 in Ottawa, KS on January 5th, 2019. 63-year-old Sukhdarshan S. Sidhu Killed was killed when the semi-truck he was driving struck an overturned box-truck driven by 30-year-old Alfred Thomas Williams. Police say Williams was standing on top of the overturned truck when it was struck, throwing him off and causing Sidhu's vehicle to hit a guardrail and jackknife on the interstate. Sidhu was pronounced dead at the scene. Williams was hospitalized with possible injuries.
