What Happened

Kentucky State Police released the names of the two women hurt in the accident on KY-14 and KY-3057 near Lake Cumberland, KY on April 19th, 2019. Officials say the accident happened around noon. A vehicle driven by 20-year-old Tierra Cook reportedly failed to stop at a red light and collided with the rear of a semi-truck. Cook was hospitalized with serious injuries. Her passenger, 19-year-old Stephanie Lowe, was also hospitalized and later died from her injuries.
