Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at I-49 near Powhatan, LA on August 13th, 2020. Officials say the incident happened around 10 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by 47-year-old Richard K Thrower reportedly collided with the rear of a passenger vehicle operated by 69-year-old Peter Wetzel. The semi-truck then overturned. Thrower, Wetzel and his passenger, 69-year-old Betty Sue Wetzel, were all hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
