What Happened

Maryland State Police are investigating a crash that killed one man and seriously injured another in Parkton, MD on January 5th, 2019. Officials say an overturned vehicle led to a second accident in which an SUV rear-ended a semi-truck that was slowing to avoid the overturned vehicle. The driver of the SUV, who was trapped in the vehicle after impact, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the overturned vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi-truck refused medical treatment at the scene.
