What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at 8 Mile and Mound Rd in Detroit, MI on March 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Mercury Marauder was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed before colliding with the rear of a parked semi-truck. Following the collision, the vehicle caught fire and two occupants of the Mercury suffered fatal injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
