What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 36 in Hannibal, MO on September 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Hyundai Elantra operated by 38-year-old Stephanie Hamm is said to have performed a lane change into the path of a tractor-trailer in order to make a u-turn. The truck collided with the rear of the Hyundai, causing Hamm serious injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 63-year0old Anna Hamm, suffered less serious injuries. Both were hospitalized for treatment. Additional details were not available.
