What Happened

New York State Police are investigating a multi-car collision that injured at least three people on I-90 in Batavia, NY on January 31st, 2019. Officials say snowy conditions caused a chain-collision involving a total of 19 vehicles. Police trooper  Dominique Wilson, 55-year-old Edward F Dejoy and 60-year-old Michael L Bushek were all treated for non-life threatening injuries.The drivers of the semi-trucks, 41-year-old Richard Magezi and 54-year-old Michael Lambert, were ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device, speed not reasonable and prudent, following too closely and driving across hazard markings.
