What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Morgan Ave in Brooklyn, NY on March 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:32 p.m. According to investigators, 56-year-old Eugene Schroeder was traveling in a bicycle lane headed southbound on Morgan Ave at the time. The bike first caped to a stop near a truck that turned right and struck Schroeder. The impact caused Schroeder to be thrown from the bike into the roadway. Meanwhile, the truck did not stop to render aid and left Schroeder behind with serious injuries. Schroeder was taken to an area hospital with injuries he would later did from. Police are actively searching for the whereabouts of the driver involved and had no additional information to share.
