North Carolina Highway Patrol officials released the name of the driver killed in an accident on US 21 in Thurmond, NC on January 24th, 2019. 24-year-old Jacob O. Lankford was killed when his vehicle was struck head-on by a semi-truck after attempting to pass by another semi-truck. The driver of the other semi-truck was not injured.
