What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured a person at Andrew Jackson Hwy in Columbus County, NC in March 1st, 2023. Authorities believe it happened around 4:18 p.m. They say a Toyota Camry was headed westbound along with an 18-wheeler that began veering towards the Toyota. Police believe this caused the Toyota to veered from the road into an embankment, the impact causing the vehicle to overturn in the process. The driver of the Toyota required emergency extrication from the vehicle and, one freed, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. Additional information was not provided.
