What Happened

State Police shared information in a hit-and-run that killed and Erwin woman at 10th and H St in Erwin, NC on January 5th, 2023. Police were called to the scene a pedestrian related collision around 5:42 p.m. 63-year-old Susan Manus was pronounced dead at the scene while the vehicle involved was not present. Authorities later located 59-year-old Allen Reaves who they believe to be the driver involved. Following questioning, Reaves was arrested on charges that include hit-and-run causing serious injury or death, driving whit a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident.
