What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Hwy 1 in Lamoure County, ND on May 25th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8 a.m. According to investigators, a northbound dump truck was approaching an intersection with a loaded trailer as a southbound vehicle approached. Police say as the vehicles neared each other, a loose rock fell from he dump truck and went through the windshield of the other vehicle. The man driving was struck by the rock and taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries he lated died from. Additional information was not yet available.
