What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at Penman Rd in Orwell, OH on January 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. According to investigators, a truck was weather prepping the road, pouring salt at the time of the crash. At the same time, Michael Bellstedt was taking out trash at Kennametal, a local manufacturing plant. Bellstedy was struck and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
