What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at -71 in Ashland County, OH on March 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:43 p.m. According to investigators, a box truck collided with the rear of a Ford F-350 service truck. The service truck was on-site as operators worked to repair a disabled semi truck in a right lane of travel. The impact caused the vehicle to hit the driver of the disabled truck, who was outside the vehicle at the time. The passenger in the box truck and driver of the service truck had non-life-threatening injuries and were both hospitalized. The driver of the disabled truck was also hospitalized with more serious injuries. At this time, police say they do not suspect alcohol or drugs as factors in the crash.
