What Happened

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at US 271 in Choctaw County, OK on September 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet headed eastbound on County Rd 2120 allegedly failed to yield from a stop sign before pulling into the path of a semi-truck. Both vehicles collided, causing fatal injuries to the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 33-year-old Rekia Johnson. A 4-year-old child in the Chevrolet also suffered fatal injuries. A second child was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
