What Happened

Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash that left one person dead in Lincoln County, OR on March 15th, 2023. Officials are saying it happened around 3:30 p.m. Investigators have not stated the specific roadway where the incident occurred but have stated it was near milepost 152. They allege that a Subaru Impreza WRX operated by 32-year-ld Ashlee Christine Hayden was headed southbound before allegedly crossing into a northbound lane. Following this, it collided head-on with a Chevrolet box truck operated by 40-year-old Victor Loreza. The collision left Hayden with fatal injuries. Two passenger in the box truck, identified as  38-year-old Jose Soto Hernandez and 40-year-old Jesus Vargas Gerardo, were hospitalized with serious injuries. Loreza was also hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not available.
