What Happened

State Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed three people at Route 33 in Monroe County, PA on March 1st, 2023. Police say a tractor-trailer headed southbound crossed into northbound lanes and hit a second tractor-trailer. It also struck a pickup truck and two other vehicles. The driver of the one of the two vehicles was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Police later identified one victim as 25-year-old Bryan Franco and a second as 40-yer-old Samantha Crich. A third individual was a 14-year-old juvenile. The driver of the second car was taken an area hospital with injuries they also died from. Authorities did not provide details on the conditions of either truck driver and did not provide information related to any possible charges.
