What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at Route 222 in East Cocalico Twp, PA on September 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a commercial truck came to a stop in the right shoulder of Route 222. An approaching sedan collided with the rear of the stopped truck under unclear circumstances, ejecting two occupants from the sedan. One died at the scene while a second was taken to an area hospital with injuries she also later died from. A third occupant was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured. Additional information was not available.
