What Happened

State Police have information a collision that killed a woman at Broad St and Cecil B Moore Ave in Philadelphia, PA on May 18th, 2023. Police say it happened around 9 a.m. According to investigators, the 52-year-old victim was exiting a SEPTA bus when she was struck by a tractor-trailer. They stated the two vehicles were directly next to other at a red light and indicated the woman had been crossing in front of the bus when the light turned green. She was then struck by the truck as it pulled ahead, suffering serious injuries she was taken to an area hospital for treatment of. She died shortly after arrival. The truck truck driver remained at the scene for questioning and is not currently facing charges.
