What Happened

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash at I-40 in Mt Juliet, TN on February 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. According to investigators, an Amazon tractor-trailer was parked in a shoulder due to mechanical issued. While parked, the truck was struck in the rear by a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 43-year-old Jared Crumby. The collision left Crumby with fatal injuries. The other driver involved was not injured. Police had no additional information.
