What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 69 in Tyler, TX on February 28th, 2023. Police are saying it happened around 10:17 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 46-year-old Wilmer man was reversing into a private driveway, blocking all lanes of travel as it did so. An approaching Honda operated by 46-year-old Adam Allen is said to have taken evasive action in an attempt to avoid a collision before colliding with the left rear of the truck. The collision left Allen with injuries officials say were serious. The other driver was not injured, according to police and was cited for Backing When Unsafe.
