What Happened

A two-vehicle crash at US 183 in Dewitt County, TX on December 29th, 2022 left a driver with serious injuries. Officers say it happened around 3:56 p.m. and involved a tractor-trailer and Dodge Journey. Investigators the tractor-trailer failed to yield wheel headed westbound on Hwy 111, pulling into the path of the Dodge. The Dodge, headed northbound on 183 in a right lane collided with the tractor-trailer, leaving its driver with serious injuries. The driver was identified as 60-year-old Adela Estrada. The other driver, a 70-year-old Pearsall man, was not injured. Officers recommended and/or issued a Failure to Yield Row at Stop Intersection charge.
