What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at FM 2790 in Atascosa County, TX on September 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:11 p.m. According to investigators, a Pontiac G6 operated by 64-year-old Alex Skees was headed southbound on Luckey Rd and approaching FM 2790 when it allegedly failed to yield at the posted stop sign. The vehicle struck an eastbound Toyota RAV4, causing the Toyota to overturn several times. The Toyota driver was reportedly uninjured while Skees was more seriously injured. Officers recommended and/or issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
