What Happened

Area authorities identified the person killed in a crash at US Hwy 59 in Victoria, TX on July 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a Buick headed southbound in a northbound lane of travel collided with a northbound tractor-trailer. Following the initial collision, police say the Buick also struck a second northbound vehicle. An occupant of the Buick, identified as 30-year-old Alexander Cantu, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. No other injuries were reported and police did not have additional information to share.
