What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at I-20 in Harrison County, TX on August 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:55 a.m. According to investigators, a westbound tractor-trailer is alleged to have failed to control its speed before colliding with a vehicle in traffic ahead. This led to a multi-vehicle crash involving several other vehicles, including one operated by 48-year-old Andrea Cale. Officials say Cale was seriously injured in the crash. Sources indicate the first of the tractor-trailer was cited/charged with Failure to Control Speed.
