What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 78 in Wylie, TX on March 1st, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 12:51 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Versa operated by 46-year-old William Louis Oxley was headed southbound on a private drive on Hwy 78 before attempting a left turn. The vehicle is said to have failed to yield to other vehicles and was struck by a southbound Chevrolet Silverado. The occupants of the Silverado, two teens ages 17 and 15, were uninjured. Oxley's passenger, 56-year-old Angela Bradley Oxley, was seriously injured. Mr. Oxley was less seriously injured and officers recommended and/or issued a Failure to Yield Right of Way charge.
