What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 75 in McKinney, TX on September 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:35 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet vehicle is said to have been stopped in a lane of travel, allegedly without active hazard lights or vehicle lights. Police say a tractor-trailer was exiting northbound US 75 at Virginia before merging into a lane occupied by the stopped Chevrolet, colliding with the rear of the vehicle. The collision pushed the Chevrolet into a tree in a nearby parking lot. The crash left the operator of the Chevrolet, identified as 75-year-old Anthony Jablonski, with suspected serious injuries. The operator of the tractor-trailer had possible injuries. Additional information was not available.
