What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at FM 3183 in Hale County, TX on September 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 20-year-old Anthony Ray Acosta was headed southbound on FM 400 as a GMC vehicle operated by 31-year-old Jorge Luis Riojas was stopped at a stop sign on FM 3183. Police say at the GMC turned onto FM 400, it and the motorcycle collided. Acosta suffered fatal injuries while Riojas was seriously injured and hospitalized. Additional information was not immediately available.
